Trend Takeover: Strapless is BACK, Variety is not.
Looking at all the new bridal releases for Spring 2026 has me seeing double… triple… quadruple, even.
Because everything is strapless. And I mean everything.
It’s giving flashbacks to when I got married—way back in the era of circa 2011—when strapless gowns dominated every single rack. You either chose strapless… or you left the boutique. There was no in-between. And to be honest? I’m kind of tired of seeing it.
We had a brief season of spaghetti straps a few years ago, and I remember how many brides came in frustrated, wanting something different. And now? I empathize with today’s bridal consultants—because if your store isn’t stocked with enough variety, you’ll be the one fielding complaints.
So here’s my advice:
Don’t get stuck with a rack full of strapless gowns you can’t sell in two years.
Start branching out now—stock detachable accessories, invest in dresses with built-in customization options, and get really good at offering sleeves, bows, overskirts, and styling upgrades that set your inventory apart.
Because here’s the truth:
Today’s bride isn’t ready to settle for limited options—not at the peak of bridal fashion. If anything, it feels like we’re taking a step back. Which is exactly why I’ve compiled a list of standout non-strapless wedding dresses to help keep your store fresh, relevant, and ahead of the curve.
These designers don’t just follow trends—they help set them. Their pieces offer a balance of editorial edge and timeless structure, the kind of looks that feel forward-thinking without feeling risky. And yes, they may come with a slightly higher price tag—but the brides who travel from out of state to find “the one” at your boutique? They’re worth the investment.
Because when everyone else is going left, your store should be going right.
And this list will help you do exactly that.
Left to Right: Monique Lhuilier-Autry, strapless with detachable long sleeves. Two dresses in one is the best option right now as you navigate this heavy saturation of one neckline. This design blends seamlessly together and you can’t even tell its two pieces. Which I love.
Brentwood, classic, heavy satin, perfected with bicep length gloves. Love the square neckline and basque waistline together. This dress creates amazing lines for most body types. Making it an essential piece to have.
Sen-Studio-Cap sleeve modest elegance. It’s vital to have atleast one in your store. I love how feminine and simplistic the lace is, from head to toe same pattern. Making it visually appealing to most brides.
Rita Vinieris-Kit, The epitome of class. High collar neck with empire waist, modified a-line. Extra dramatic train. This stunning piece has a specific bride in mind and I think Rita nailed it.
Danielle Frankel-Miles, another high neck beauty but for the modern bride. Such a gorgeous fabric that looks like butter against the skin.
Reem Acra-Look 21, Fun and screams young spring bride, I love the bows on both sides, such a fun change from seeing so many bows on the back of dresses. Even if you choose to remove them I still think the dress has wonderful lines, and a flattering neckline.
Margot Bridal-Lauren, High neck, sexy, contemporary with subtle sparkle. This dress is a showstopper, created to show off shoulders and back. This is a great bridal gown and also an incredible 2nd look for that extra fabulous bride.
Berta Bridal-I havent seen such beautiful sheet lace like this in quite some time. I love the absense of sparkle, rendering it really clean and classic. It seems and heavy and airy all at the same time. Not typical Berta, and I am here for it.
